NC's first school for students with learning differences (founded 1981)
Grades 1-12, Full-day, Co-Educational School (8am - 3:15 pm)
5:1 student to teacher ratio in Core Classes; 4:1 overall student to faculty/staff ratio
'Traditional' Calendar (6-week grading periods, two-week holiday break, fall and spring breaks)
Dual accreditation from SACS/SAIS
High School coursework fulfill options and requirements for graduation from NC High Schools and entry into UNC-system colleges and NC community colleges
High School students enjoy their own lunch period
All lunch periods are faculty-supervised
All students, all grades, end each day with class-sized and faculty-supervised Homework Hall
